This article describes a feature available to customers on Dropbox Plus, Professional, Essentials, Standard, Advanced, Business, or Business Plus plans and to certain types of admins on Dropbox team account.

Note: Sharing a folder doesn't count as a referral.

Upgrade your account

If you have aDropbox Basicaccount, you can upgrade toDropbox Plusto get 2 TB of storage space.For 3 TB of storage space, you can upgrade to Dropbox Professionalor Essentials.

If you have a Plus or Professional account and work with two or more colleagues, you may want to consider upgrading to aDropbox team account

which starts at 5 TB of storage space.

Purchase storage space add-ons

Dropbox admins on a Standard, Advanced, Business, or Business Plusaccount, can purchase additional storage space in 1 TB increments only, up to a maximum of 1,000 TB (including space allocated from users/licenses).This additional storage space is pooled for the entire team.

Plus, Professional, or Essentials users can do a one-time purchase of 1 TB storage.

Notes:

  • If you purchased your dropbox license through a reseller, you can only purchase storage packs through your reseller.

To purchase additional storage space as a team admin:

  1. Log into dropbox.com using your admin credentials.
  2. ClickAdmin console.
  3. ClickBillingin the left side bar.
  4. ClickAddnext to1 TB StorageunderAdd-ons.
  5. Select how much storage space you’d like to add.
  6. ClickConfirm and add.


To purchase your one-time 1 TB add-on as a user on Dropbox Plus, Professional, or Essentials:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Go to dropbox.com/manage.
  3. Click Add-ons.
  4. Select the 1 TB storage add-on and purchase.

Your purchase will go into effect immediately, and you’ll be charged a pro-rated amount until your next billing cycle. You'll then be billed based on your subscription period.

For example, if you have an annual billing cycle, you can only purchase annual storage space add-ons. You can view your storage pack price on your billing page.
